José Ruiz Rosas: The essential brightness behind the perfect darkness

Abstract

After the biographical profile, we highlight the presence of José Ruiz Rosas within the Generation of ‘50 and the coincidences of his lyric with the classic and modern turn of Carlos Germán Belli; and also with the poetic transcendentalism of César Atahualpa Rodríguez. Other themes of his poetics are studied: the animation of objects, the ironic candor, the poeticity and the humanist and Arequipa essence, culminating with conclusions about a poetry that allows to approach the essential knowledge of human beings.

Manuel Pantigoso, Academia Peruana de la Lengua

Poeta, crítico literario y de arte. Doctor en Literatura y Filología, doctor en Educación, profesor emérito de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos; doctor honoris causa por la Universidad Ricardo Palma; miembro de número de la Academia Peruana de la Lengua y miembro correspondiente de la Academia de Letras de São Luiz de Maranhão (Brasil). Presidente del Instituto Ricardo Palma. Actual director de la Oficina Central de Extensión Cultural y Proyección Social de la Universidad Ricardo Palma. Ha obtenido las Palmas Magisteriales del Perú en el grado de maestro (2000), el Premio Nacional Javier Prado (1970) y el de Teatro Escolar (UNMSM, 1980 y 1983), Premio Internacional Publicación Thesaurus de Poesía (Brasilia, 2008), «Médaille de l’Assemblée Nationale Française» (París, 2009).
