Abstract
Me cabe el honrosísimo rol de ser Director de la Academia Peruana de la Lengua al cumpirse el Centenario de esta fundamental institución dentro de nuestra cultura. Privilegio -dije alguna vez- que se acrecienta el repasar los nombres de mis antecesores: Francisco García Calderón, Ricardo Palma, Javier Prado, José de la Riva Agüero, Víctor Andrés Belaúnde, Aurelio Miró Quesada, José Jiménez Borja.
