Toponomy of Ticapampa
Abstract
More than one hundred place names obtained in Ticapampa, Recuay, serve to the purpose of describing linguistic processes at work in the formation of toponyms. To get to their structure implies the study of phonological processes, such as assimilation, weakening and monoptongation, morphological processes such as verbal nominalization and nominal derivation, and, at the phrase level, lexicalization processes. Of these, only the last ones, along with the reference to some semantic aspects, will be privileged in this article.Downloads
